Catherin Atkinson
Sewing on buttons the wrong way (at age 5) developed into dressmaking the right way (at 15) and continued into a lifetime career of dress designing.

Some of her 34 years of college classes have been Greek and Balkan dancing and an important one was Beginning Automotive; but when she had her ’66 Dodge Dart (Stout 6) on the hoist to change the transmission fluid, all she could think of were the Raku platters she had been making in the clay studio. The car turned out okay and the platters are still fantastic.

She fell into Etching class at Sonoma State one year and was required to draw some trees. She became “hooked” on trees and now you can visit her “grove”.
